Welcome to BUWG

About Us
Established in 1987, the group exists to promote and conserve wildlife and habitats in the Bradford area.

Committee members and leaders have changed over the years, but our aim is continue the ideas and principles of the group as it was first created nearly 40 years ago.  Read more.

A good example of our work is the creation and maintenance of a butterfly meadow on land at Shipley station, carried out in partnership with the Yorkshire Branch of Butterfly Conservation.  Read more about Shipley Station Meadow here
