Update 29th March 2025
City Hall, Bradford
The tiercel (male) has been ‘scraping’ and calling for the female. Unfortunately, she is, as yet, reluctant to enter the nest box, so we are not sure what will happen here this year. The camera will of course go live if things progress.
Lister Mills, Manningham
Last year 4 eggs were laid, 2 hatched successfully. This year both birds have been ‘scraping’ in the nest box. The first known egg this year was laid in London on 3rd March. However, because ‘It’s grim up north’, we tend to be a few weeks later. Wakefield Cathedral had their first egg on the 20th March, Leeds on the 21st and our Lister Mills female has laid her first egg on the 22nd March again, same date as last year! As of the 29th there are now three eggs, with possibly another expected tomorrow, the 30th?

Salts and Victoria Mills, Saltaire
Peregrines can still be seen here from time to time, but the site has not been used as much as the other sites in recent years.
Damart Mill, Bingley
Birds continue to be seen regularly on Damart Mill but there is no sign of them using the nestbox so far.
Dalton Mill, Keighley
Last year 4 birds fledged. One had a bad start with a fractured coracoid but was released after treatment. Once again, the peregrines are active. Here’s hoping that they will repeat last years success.

Once again, we will be having some Peregrine viewing days. Please see our website for further details.
