Saturday 30th May
9.00pm - 12 midnight
Moth Trapping Night at St Ives Estate
Location:
St Ives Estate Lower Car Park BD16 1AS, what3words ///scooped.smirking.ounce
Join us for an exciting evening of moth trapping!
If you enjoy moth trapping or would like to learn about catching and identifying these amazing, and often beautiful, night-time pollinators then please come along. Setting traps at end of May should mean we catch a whole different range of moths than last year, including (hopefully), Elephant Hawk-moths as per the photograph.
There will be a few knowledgeable people from the local community at this event, who will look forward to sharing their passion with you.
Moth traps will be set up to run from sunset (9.15pm) until everyone is done with them, probably around midnight. If you have a moth trap you'd like to bring along, let us know using the contact form link below
Cover up and bring insect repellent . You'll also need a torch, sturdy footwear, and perhaps a flask of tea or a water bottle.
This free event is outdoors and very weather dependant, check event information on our Facebook page for updates prior to setting out. The event is organised by Bradford Urban Wildlife Group who cannot be responsible for children. Under 18s must be supervised by an adult.
If you have questions or wish to book, please use our contact form, or email buwg.secretary@gmail.com
